WEEK #4 NT 24 VS NIAGARA FALLS 06
It was Friday night in the Falls and North Tonawanda was looking to remain undefeated in league play. It looked like NT would be in for a battle after Niagara Falls had the ball most of the 1st quarter. The Falls converted on a couple of 3rd and longs and were aided by a roughing the kicker penalty. However, NT would make the most of their little time with the ball when QB Keith Bogdan took a one yard plunge to put the Jacks up 7-0. The second quarter was all NT as FB Jeff Zellner got the Jacks on the board once again with a 4 yard TD run late in the 2nd quarter. The Jacks would get the ball to start the half and immediately go 75 yards on two plays. However, the drive would stall and force a field goal attempt. Keith Bogdan split the uprights with a 32 yard field goal to put the Jacks up 17-0. Both Niagara Falls and NT would score in the fourth quarter. Zellner would end the scoring for the Jacks on a 14 yard scamper. The game ended with NT in the victory column 24-06. The Jacks are in the middle of the hunt for the league title and will look to continue to win on Friday night at home vs. the Williamsville North Spartans at 7 pm.
